it's the tick of our time

The original plan was to go to Blair Drummond Safari and Adventure Park but the unexpected turnabout in the weather has caused the animals into hiding. Instead, the Stirling Castle was an awesome alternative for us to enjoy a day out. All in all, it was fun seeing the different areas in the castle and how people have lived in it. I imagine spirits lurking around the mossy hallways and damp tunnels more often actually. We also planned to go to St. Andrew's University but time was not in our favour. Oh well, there's more to come.

I borrowed my friend's 10-20mm lens and fell in love with it. This is just perfect to capture the landscape of the castle so perfectly. I also like how 'warped' a person looks when they are in the edge of the frame.

The expected downpour didn't stop us from enjoying our day out shopping and sight -seeing at the National Gallery of Scotland, St. Giles Church, Waverley train station, Hollyrood Park, Edinburgh Castle. Then just basically lolly-gagging at the Royal Mile.We were on full-on tourist mode. haha

gardens are a form of autiobiography

It was our garden for about 2 hours. I adored the shades of green and brown as well as the intricately metallic floral gate. We also crossed bridges, hugged trees and used the plant's scientific names as wizard spells. For example, IRIS CHYSOGRAPHES!!! That was a spell for 'give me cookies or I'll poke you with some thorns'. :)

her royal disposition

We were one gate away from stepping our feet on royal property. The Queen's Residence at Hollyrood Park was a sight to behold when the majestic black gates on the other side looms at us like a giant does over his tiny prey. We were told that if one single scratch or damage ever comes to any of her properties that has the Queen's royal crown symbol on it, you will be imprisoned for life. Gosh, someone should have told us before  we were horsing around with the black gates. Whew!

inaudible melodies

The climb to the hill wasn't particularly treacherous only that the place was freezing cold. Every second I take my hand out to brush away the hair from my face draws my  hand closer to frostbites. Calton Hill has a beautiful view of Edinburgh especially at night. The lights from the busy highway and the steadfast castle from afar is breathtaking.

Our trip to the National Museum of Scotland. I've only gone to 3 museums in my life and I have to say, the place is modernized and has interactive information boards. I get to touch some of the stone walls with the intricate Celtic carvings and some treasure chests of the past. There's a lot more to see rather than from what I've posted but here are few others from the museum:

Funny how I walk away from groups during these kind of historical trips. I tend to stray away from the flock and just get lost in all the history. I take my time in the world and I particularly enjoyed it.

sights to see at edinburgh

Just some sights to ogle at while we were walking around on our first day at the place but seriously, I have more photos than this I tell you. Hoorah to Facebook.

Edinburgh is pretty clean expect for the occasional cigarette butts and bird droppings. There's no smoke belching from cars but there's the usual smoker's smoking at close proximity which makes go *cough cough*. While everything is green and peachy, the countryside and modern architectural mix are too beautiful. I enjoy people watching more because they're all so pretty with their coats of different kinds and their shoes of different materials. Some of the teenage boys here have the Justin Bieber hair right. While the girls with their rosy cheeks and outrageous hair colors and hair styles fascinate me. As for the food, we still have our Filipino dishes intact with the rice and all.

Anywho, I have yet to figure out how to ask my flatmates how to take my outfit shots. Hmmmm.

Karaoke-ing with friends has always been a wonderful outlet for me. I'm glad I still have my tunes intact.

I will be off to Scotland and I don't know when I'll be coming back home. I'm thankful for everything that has led me to this opportunity. I will make every moment count. I am going to be the very best that I can be.

For the people that I haven't had much time to spend time with, at least we have memories to hold on to. Just know I really wanted to be with you and laugh all the worries away.

If I don't cry that doesn't mean that I won't miss you, I definitely will. I'm just not used to crying that's all.
