under 17 hours

01 a window-slash-winged seat. a very early start to my day as we were bound to Manila.

02 waiting for the train and i'm close to the edge i might just jump on the rails (kidding.) my first time to ride a train and i wasn't prepared, i almost fell over inside due to the velocity.

03 about to go inside Mall Of Asia. my first time in Philippine's biggest mall. and they weren't kidding, we haven't even covered half of the place.

04 reach out for the stars. I seriously did. I wanted to take home one.

05 after having to endure traffic in an afternoon, a crummy taxi cab and an even crummier taxi driver, we arrived at NAIA only to have our stroke of luck taken away from us. Let's just say thousands of pesos went down the drain. T.T

The important thing was, we got home safely with my mom. There's no place like Cebu. 

If friends were flowers, I'd pick you

October 25-- So happy that at least 80% of my closest friends and I got together. I terribly miss them before and I now miss them after despite the fact that we went out for dinner Monday night to catch up on things. I'm so happy we finally got the chance to see each other after five months the last time.

We had dinner at Mooon Cafe, then just laughed all the way from there. The mall was about to close so we had the last minute chance to go to the Banana Booth for some pictures. I kept staring up at the screen instead of at the camera so that's why half of the time I just close my eyes. Haha!

Saved up my bag of Cheetos for my lazy Saturday. The next day, my niece bought another bag of Cheetos for both of our delights.

I rarely eat junk foods unless of course it's Cheetos. *wink

October 9. There was no special event and all it required was a spontaneous text that brought us together. Finally. The last time we were together was graduation day.

Don't get me wrong. I have other friends that I miss just as bad from the last time I've seen them. Distance is a hindrance.

While we were at SM, there were some fancy vintage car shows that were a looker. And Halloween is pumping already. We were supposed to go for the glow in the dark bowling that night but the event was moved to another date (boo!). We went out for karaoke instead which is our second most favorite thing to do next to laughing our heads off.

If only I could take the blue one for a spin. It reminds me of a Trans-Am.

Too gross for me. I am looking for a V for Vendetta mask.

Funny how we thought this masked dude was a mannequin, but actually isn't.

October 5. Knee high leather boots from Leaveand. These boots were 50% off so my mom and I just had to rush to the ATM. I will wear these babies soon.

October 6. Silver dangling earrings from my mom. I just don't have the guts to tell her that I keep losing earrings everytime she gives me one. I think I'll just keep this in the box where it doesn't go missing.

October 7. A book about Scotland from my dad. I guess he's just as excited as I am. There's all these maps, tourist attractions, contact numbers, bus routes and schedules in here.

September 27- Oath taking Ceremony.

This makes everything official for me. I am now a registered nurse. All the hard work has accumulated to this. Okay, so I might be currently unemployed and still making a name for myself but what a feeling it is to finally appendage that R.N. in my name.

A friend of mine considers this to being the "marriage" of my profession.

After the ceremony, the one thing my mom and I did to celebrate was to go shopping. We searched for jackets and coats for my Fall/Winter attire when I'll be moving to my new country (will seriously post about this soon). I am eye-ing that fuschia coat and black leather jacket at Promod; and a gray coat at Mango.

I didn't take pictures, I think the sales lady considers it rude when you take pictures of outfits that you haven't bought yet. We had those items reserved and will be coming back for it ASAP.

I won't be asking anymore for Christmas if mom gets me those. xD

September 14 Karaoke-d with my friends that day. We were in the waiting list but that wasn't too bad coz time flied fast when we waited for our turn.

What I wore that day was my first online purchase, the feeling when the delivery man hands you that package kept me in a sunny mood. I'm just glad that I have the same size with the online seller. The downside is the additional shipping fee. Boo.

It's so tempting to buy online. Oh why does it have to be conveniently done in just a click?

September 22 We went to Simala that day with my friends. I can't believe the place has improved so much since the last time I went there which was June. The area has expanded beautifully both inside and out.

The only problem I noticed with the place is the pathway getting to the image of Mother Mary. The stairs is not convenient for someone with a handicapped or wheel-chair bound people. That should be a ramp instead, just saying.

I went there particularly to say my 'thank you's' for passing the board exam and 'petitions' to me and my family's health and future to Mother Mary.

basic suturing workshop

September 16-17 Joined a post graduate seminar and workshop on basic suturing.

I'm glad that I got more than I paid for. I definitely learned a lot from this and the part when I have to perform how to tie 1 knot in 3 different ways made me realized I've never been a girl scout when I was a kid. I wasn't part of it because that curriculum didn't arrive yet on our school or I was just too old to join in anymore.haha The knot is important to know first because that's the basis of every suture, a good knot.

Anywho, I may have used up about 4 sutures but at least I got it all down.

September 14 I enjoy oversized shirts as seen below. And that my pretties, is not even mine. It's my big bro's. 

Remember the abstract spongebob shirt? It was his also. It's just way more convenient and thrifty that way and believe me I'm kind of a thrift queen. Okay I may tend to splurge but that's because I reward myself.  My mom and I would go to a single thrift store and find numerous wear-able clothes sometimes under 100php. I'll post some pics of it soon.

Who knew a fish eye lens can be so affordable with the use of those peep holes (the ones on your doors) found in hardware stores? Steffi had that so I had to see the effect.

I am hovering more over in lookbook now than ever. (Sorry Facebook, sometimes there's nothing there for me.)
The people over there are inspiring, fashionably speaking that is.
I just had to click the sign up button and viola!

It was a hectic day being at a government office to clear up some requirements but it went smooth.
the outfit was a bit too much for the place because it was so hot inside.

September 8-10. Yes, 3 days of searching and scouring thrift stores after thrift stores for: John Lennon shades, turquoise ring and combat boots.

I only completed 33% of that list. Haha

I found some combat boots but there's none for the normal female feet!

And optical stores refer the John Lennon shades as the Harry Potter shades. (nice!)

My ensemble on the first day of scouring! Too much splash of color from the backdrop? haha.

Within those 3 days, there were some serious choices that I have to make.

I've gotten busy due to the fact that I might be moving somewhere else. Still not sure with this, but I'm open for it. It's a big world, I need to make my mark.

That's the international prospectus from the college that I might be going to. 

If in case my parents does push through with this, I must learn how to cook and wash. Stat!
