a bride's message to her groom

This message was from the movie, Leap Year. It made my heart melt because in that moment of the film, it was intimate enough for the message to come across to the audience.

May you never steal, lie, or cheat,
but if you must steal, then steal away my sorrows,
and if you must lie, lie with me all the nights of my life,
and if you must cheat, then please cheat death
because I couldn't live a day without you. Cheers!

One part of the movie Declan asked Anna that if her house was on fire what one thing would she grab first within 60 seconds.

It struck me... what would I grab first? I though it out a lot and it would be my shoebox of pictures, jewelries, memorabilias and letters that I keep on the back part of my closet.

What would you grab first when your house--God forbid that happens-- is in a smoldering fire?

it'd be my phone, wallet and laptop. they're usually in one corner so it wouldnt be hard. then if i own really expensive designer purses and shoes, then those would be included in my things to grab. haha!!

ahh! now i want to knew what amy (i know thats not her character's name, i just couldnt remember ;p) said to him about what she'd take.

oh gosh i dont know what i would take....
if its a given that all the living creatures got out safe then...

oof. i dont know what all would be valueble to me.
i've been keeping diaries since i was in second grade, so those, whatever clothes i could grab off the hangers in my closet, slip on shoes, grab my dove necklace from my grandmother and some jewlery we recently got from CHina, and maybe whatever book im reading currently? oh, and for sure my ipod. haha, assuming i can grab this all within like 60 seconds. shit probs not. well lets just hope my house never sets fire because i'd be a wreck ;D

Aww I haven't even seen this movie yet. Gotta check it out. Hmm not to be too materialistic but I would grab certain pieces of clothes seeing as I have owned them my whole life and they are so much more than just pieces of fabric.

I remember that quote from the movie and I couldn't help but melt inside. I have no idea what item I would grab in a fire, but the first thing I would do is check to see if everyone is okay. And if they are, then that's enough.

that's a nice quote! lol sometimes I like to think what would be the first things I'd grab if my house was on fire... but then again my laptop is a piece of crap, I don't keep money in my house and my flat screen tv is way too heavy for me to carry it out let along carry it in a fire.... so I really don't know!
