breathing life to the old cameras

Minolta 110 Zoom SLR Mark II
Kodak KB10
Time-Life camera
Polaroid Impulse

That's history in a basket right there. My parent's old cameras back in the days were a delight to my high-tech eyes because I never really know how to work these things. I was struggling with this old roll of film and feeling defeated, I finally went to my mom to help me with it. She got that thing out in seconds. Faceslap!

Now the next challenge is to find films for these babies. I'm desperate to get them back from what they used to be. Here's the camera and their film equivalent. I just wish there's still some on sale here in the Philippines.
Minolta 110 Zoom SLR Mark II = 110 film
Kodak = 35mm film (i think this one's pretty easy to find)
Time-life camera = 135mm film (found!)
Polaroid= Polaroid 600 Plus Film

I have the Time-life camera loaded up already (well, my mom did the loading. I was sleeping). What a thrill to finally have an old camera in my hands. I'll be off for nature walks or city strolls now. I wonder if this camera still makes photo magic after being cooped up in that basket for years.

Well, wish me good luck on my search for the films too. If you know any sites that sells those films please do let me know. Thanks!

Have fun with all of these, they look amazing!! I can't wait to see what pictures you take! That Kodak camera looks familiar, I'm pretty sure my mom used to have that same one.

I LOVE WHAT YOU DID TO YOUR BLOG! it looks great ate Ching! i WANT those cameras too but it's so hard to look for a really good quality kind. I'm very jealous.

Also, I'm doing my very first ever giveaway of two bags of Coffee from One Bean to tell others about the company's mission and what they've done to help us raise money for Sierra Leone. And it would be lovely if you participated in it

wow, i would never knew that 35/50mm film will be so hard to find... it feels so surreal, i spent so many days in own darkroom in the past...

Hey Ching, Awesome cameras. Yep, try these guys (http://shop.the-impossible-project.com/shop/film) for the 600 film...not sure about your budget..um 110 is harder...you can buy expired film on eBay and see how it turns out. There is a company called Adox who have just started producing a new black and white 110 film, they should start shipping soon. Hope this helps :)

35mm film is really easy to get hold of! try any camera shop they should have it and as for 600 polaroid film again easy enough to get off of ebay (and i think urban outfitters stock it too) but rather expensive these days, like £15 for 10 photos..

Ahhh I love old cameras! Polaroids are so much fun! And yeah, 35mm film is pretty easy to find, even in my little tiny town. Only thing that sucks is having to wait to get it developed or find a dark room you can use :(. Take a bunch of pics though and have fun!
I cannot get over how awesome that Minolta is and am way too jealous.

WOW! Goodness! Those are really great cameras! Aren't you the lucky duck! You can probably find those films online. I'm pretty sure there's still some left. Goodluck with finding the film. Just a question. Of course you can't use these cameras for day to day photography of your blog, so what camera do you use?
